Scientific partnerships between the University of Birmingham and brazilians institutions


Professor Robin Mason, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) of University of Birmingham

Professor Robin Mason was in Brazil in November 2018 to celebrate the outstanding research done between Birmingham University and different Brazilian research centres and Universities. FAPESP – São Paulo State Funding Agency – also participated the event, highlighting the importance of the UK and of University of Birmingham in the total number of grants funded. The event, held at the British Consulate in São Paulo, was part of the UK-Brazil Year of science and Innovation and allowed researchers from both countries to discuss new ideas for future collaboration, and find out more about is already being done.

The event showed how the internationalisation of higher education both in Brazil and in the UK can mean high quality higher education system and result in sustainable long term cooperation between both countries.
